Welcome to the finest UK directory of spy tools, concealed and clandestine cameras,
voice disguisers and general surveillance and bugging equipment available to the
man in the street. Make the most of it, because it's only a matter of time before all these spy tools are
banned.
In fact, since I originally wrote this, so much stuff has been banned they made a
movie about it. It's called
taking liberties and should be required viewing for everyone in the UK. Come to think of it,
possession of so many things is now illegal under catch-all legislation that it's a wonder we can buy anything at all.
We're all continually being monitored by CCTV systems operated by everyone from
the Police to the local garage, so now's the time to get your own and look after
your own property the way everyone else watches over you. Much as I hate being watched by CCTV,
in these increasingly unsettled times we live in, it's becoming de-riguer. Somehow I don't see the UK
becoming a more civilised place, so I guess we need to get used
to living with the idea of increased security.

I truly look forward to the day when this site can list true defensive gadgets like
pepper spray and tasers, so that ordinary individuals can protect themselves. To
those who think that's a little extreme, just remember we're the only country in
Europe where a woman walking home on her own late at night can't carry such a device
for self-defence. How many decent law-abiding people are criminalised in this country
because they picked up a CS gas spray while holidaying on the continent. How many
of them even know that they're in possession of an illegal firearm which last I
knew carried a mandatory minimum five year prison sentence. Ludicrous laws which
will only change when the government once again starts to listen to the people who
elected it.

I've been asked many times why knives aren't featured on this site. The short answer is that all
decent pocket knives are lock knives, and if the blade can lock, you can't carry it regardless of blade length.
And that's it, just the kind of stuff useful for protecting your interests in these
increasingly unpredictable times we live in. Whatever else happens, smile and keep
on smiling. And one good way of doing this is to try a spa day in Yorkshire.
